Big wins feel great =)

Well, Tonight was incredible. I get more and more proud of my team every game. Even when we lose, I'm proud.
     Tonight, we won though =) We got out there and started out pretty rough. We were down 18-8 in the first quarter. But by half time we had played hard and climbed back to a one point difference. 24-23.
     By third quarter I was pooped haha. I had played the whole game so far. And I ended up playing the entire game. But hey, it was worth it! We won. Hannah S. had the play of the game in my eyes. The shortest girl on the floor and the tallest girl on the floor were fightin it out for the jump ball. On the floor. Wrestling match. Hannah's face was so red and intense, cause that passion came out and she wasn't gonna let #11 get it. So Very Proud. And there were other great plays in the game. We played really well.
      I was kind of disappointed tonight though. After every game we circle up and pray in our room after coaches talk. And as I was praying some of the girls just did different things to interrupt the prayer. And when We are talking to God, I'm serious, WE ARE TALKING TO GOD. It is very important to thank Him and give him back what He has given to us. And when we disrespect Him, He won't continue to bless us.
     And Julia hurt her ankle. So, praying she gets better.

Awaiting the Holy Night - Mary's Perspective

I wrote this post back in December 18, 2022 and never published it but with Christmas around the corner and joining my family in reading a chapter of Luke a day to celebrated Advent, I decided to circle back around to it. I know it may be taboo to read into how a Biblical character might have felt or what they might have thought, but adding personification to the people that we read so much about felt like an exciting venture. And besides that, The Chosen TV series came out around that time and it brought so many characters to life... giving them thoughts, feelings, and emotions so I felt that maybe I was in the clear (I mean, now anytime I read Jesus's words in Scripture, I hear Jonathan Roumie's voice). Grief - It's Okay

Grief. How does someone wrestle with the wounds it leaves?  It's a fog that covers a valley. It's a g-force against our lungs like we're on one of those carnival rides that spins so fast, you're pinned to a wall. It's a cloud that specifically rains on you when everything and everyone else is basking in sunshine. It's a numbness that can feel like an emotional void. And like a spinning record, it plays over and over again. Grief comes in all shapes and sizes from all sorts of occasions. There could be a seasonal grief due to weather changes and the days getting darker earlier after sunshine and late nights and warmth kissed you all summer.
