Pause

It's that time of year where things start going cuh-razy. Graduations are going on and exams are being studied for (which is what I'm taking a break from at the moment). Our school is going crazy with some little decisions that have been made recently, people in my class seem to be heartless, preparing to leave for Haiti in 2 weeks, our German exchange student is going back to Germany next week, I can't seem to find a time to meet with my friend and mentor, mrs. Mack(in), my friend in Alabama has a broken family that I am dedicated to praying for and wish I could make it better!, basketball try outs are in two weeks and we are getting a new coach, I'm about to be a senior and I can't help but continually fast forward in my mind to things of next year...... PAUSE ALEX.
I feel like my head is spinning in a million different directions yet I'm not freaking out, stressed, nor do i have anxiety. I think it may be the fact that I've been listening to the same encouraging 5 songs for 3 days now. All are by a teacher at my school who has a great and incredibly comforting voice with powerful and passionate lyrics about our Savior. It could also be that God is keeping me relaxed and calm and I'm actually not that worried about exams... I'm just ready to be done with this school year.
With so many things going on.... Sometimes we just have to pause for a sec. To think. To breathe. To regroup. To smile. To pray. It gets harder as life gets busier, but He can make it easier when life gets harder. Sometimes, it's seems easier to throw in the towel and just say "that's good enough" but we have so much more to offer... But sometimes I forget that when I'm going 100 mph and don't give my all. One of my new favorite songs is "as long as i can breathe" by Johannah Mackin. It goes like this: "A million melodies rise up from the earth
A symphony of sounds all declaring Your worth
Who am I that you would bend Your ear to hear?
What is man that You continue to draw near?
As long as I have strength I’ll lift my hands to You
As long as I can move I’ll dance for You
As long as I can speak I’ll sing these words to You
As long as I can breathe, I’ll live for you
Every nation will bow to Your name
All of creation will shout of Your fame
Who am I that You would bend Your ear to hear?
What is man that You would choose to draw near?
I’d be a fool to wait til heaven calls my name
Cause now is the time to join the anthem of praise"

     Very true and truly incredible.
For His glory
