Wow. Journey, learning, Testimony

Let me just tell ya, last week was insane. It ranged every where from going to fall retreat, having an 11 hour bus ride to VA for a leadership conference, liking a freshman boy (LOL), and one of my best friends running away.
Let's begin with fall retreat. It was really really REALLY good! Great and deep discussions with my small group girls for 2 1/2 hours. Great worship and speaker, Gary. Paintball was tons of fun. Definitely a learning weekend in growing in my faith in God.
Left fall retreat early and went to VA. the next morning, early. With my whole high school (minus a couple people). It was a lot of fun, but the speaker was not the best. And after hearing Gary at fall retreat, Luke, at the conf. was that much worse. Poor guy. Definitely missed North Carolina this year, but eh. Still love being with my highschool family. No big deal on the way there, but on the way home, feelings changed. Monday night, it began to rain and I had worn my slippers to the conference center because, Hello! they were comfortable. Well, I didn't want them to get wet, so I had to take them and my socks off before sprinting to the dorm. Nonchalantly one of the freshman boys stayed back with me and waited then took off when I did. It was the sweetest thing! After that moment I thought, "hmm, he is different from the others. I kinda like him." :( He's super sweet and I love his family, but just like any other boy, flirt. I was hoping I had him, but math today prooved other wise. So, here I am...going back to the drawing board. I really liked this kid. Eyes freakin met every time in the hall. Trey. But silly me.
So anyway, got back from leadership conference in VA. last Tues. and had a good night's rest. Wednesday came and it was a good day too. Went to sleep Wed. night around 9 so tired, so nice to rest. All the sudden, I'm woken up at midnight by my mom saying, "you don't have to get up, but a good friend of yours (won't put name) ran away and is missing. UMMMM...WHAAAAT! So, I said a prayer and tried to go back to sleep, but that didn't happen. So, long story short, Spent 6 hours looking for her and didn't sleep till Thurs. afternoon. Thankfully, she was found in a boro walmart parkinglot by a dad at our school. Praise God!!!! Talk about a weird feeling, "oh, by the way, one of our best friend's is missing." yeah, uh, no. I'm just glad she's back and okay.
Well, that's been my life in the past couple weeks. Getting ready for Thanksgiving and boy do I have a lot to give Thanks for. God has blessed me with so much!
For His Glory.
