For His Glory& #35

In each and every sport I play, I play for God's Glory and for #35.
God's glory is self-explanatory. He gave me the ability to play and the breath in my lungs, so
it's only right to play for Him and give it back to Him.
For #35 might be a little more obscure for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about...or a even a slight clue.
You see, on October 9, 2009 my friend and teammate, Hallee (pronounced like Halle Berry) Cartwright passed away. She got H1N1 and had complications from it. I'd love to tell the long story, because it's worth telling..but you can ask if you want to know more. But long story short, bacteria got in her blood and once it's in the bloodstream, it can't be stopped. It got to her heart and she passed away early Friday morning.
SHOCKING. I was pretty devastated. I had no idea what emotion to feel.
Anywho, That was during the beginning of volleyball. We did not have practice that coming Monday, and after that we did a lot of team things together. It was so hard, our games weren't the same and neither were our lives.
For our cheer I would call it out. So, we'd say 1.2.3... For God's glory! and #35.
Then, it was basketball season and we played every game under that title. That was one of the best season's of our lives. We got 35 socks and shirts and became really close. That was my 7th grade year. And that bled into my 8th grade year.
Gosh, we miss you Hallee Bean. We're looking out for your family. I'm takin care of your sis for ya. She means a lot in my life (like an older sis to me). And you're best friends, Hannah and Brooke.
We know you're smiling up there in Heaven, worshiping our Savior. And you'd want everyone to be strong. Toby Kieth says it all when he sings, "I'm not cryin' cause I feel so sorry for ya, I'm cryin for me" - cryin fo me" most perfect song ever.
Love you!
Thanks,
For Glod's Glory&#35
