You could day I'm Big hearted.

There are different quotes for people with big hearts. Ones like: "The ones with the biggest hearts hurt the most" or "A friend is someone who is there for you when he'd rather be somewhere else." or "When a friend is in trouble, don’t annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it. - Edgar Watson Howe      I love those. I have a heart for the hurting, so I've noticed as I've gotten older. And so I've been told a few times. I don't really know how it got started, but my guess is when Hallee died. I saw a need in the Cartwright's life. Whether that is seeing Hallee's Aunt Vivi and Uncle Wo every Sunday at church and walking up to the balcony to give them hugs. Or going to Hannah's basketball games and encouraging her through messages. Riding with Mrs. Rhonda (her mom) to games or shooting her a text. Ya know, I held my 15th birthday party at Mr Keith's (her daddy) over in ...

Incredible

Oh my goodness. We had our first game for the varsity girls season tonight and we won! 56-23 against McClain. I'll tell you what though, our pregame room was flying with nervousness. Everyone, besides the middle school girls who play up, was nervous. Butterflies in the stomach kind of nervous/anxious.      Honestly, I was a little anxious myself. It was a pretty different team from last year and we didn't have one of our posts.I told a couple of my friends (teammates) that I was a little anxious, but I didn't let it show come game time. I didn't because I'm a leader on that team and if I was anxious, some people's anxieties would have shot way up. Had to stay cool, collective, and encourage. But inside I was going through every scenario that could happen.      We did our run-through and warm up and as soon as I got the ball back in my hand, it was go time. It felt so good to be back on the court. And honestly, I was super excited to be playing b...

For His Glory& #35

In each and every sport I play, I play for God's Glory and for #35.      God's glory is self-explanatory. He gave me the ability to play and the breath in my lungs, so it's only right to play for Him and give it back to Him.      For #35 might be a little more obscure for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about...or a even a slight clue.      You see, on October 9, 2009 my friend and teammate, Hallee (pronounced like Halle Berry) Cartwright passed away. She got H1N1 and had complications from it. I'd love to tell the long story, because it's worth telling..but you can ask if you want to know more. But long story short, bacteria got in her blood and once it's in the bloodstream, it can't be stopped. It got to her heart and she passed away early Friday morning.      SHOCKING. I was pretty devastated. I had no idea what emotion to feel. Anywho, That was during the beginning of volleyball. We ...

a wonderful day of football

Yesterday was history in the making. ONE: I'm a Michigan Wolverines fan, considering I was born there and all, and every year we battle it out with Ohio State. And every year, we lose. BUT THIS YEAR.. we won 40-37. That's right. We finally got our poop in a group and beat em. TWO: I'm also a Kentucky Wildcats fan. Mainly in basketball, because the football program is pretty crappy. Ahem. So, we also play UT every year. We get the pants knocked off of us, every year. BUT THIS YEAR.. We won. After 26 consecutive years of losing, the cats finally did it. What an upset. The underdogs finally came back. Three: (sidenote): Virginia Tech whooped up on Virginia..38-0 atta way Hokies :) Thanks!

Thanksgiving:)

I guess I will start with Thanksgiving! Since it was the most recent event. And maybe I'll bleed into Black Friday.      First, preThanksgiving. Wednesday, all we did was watch tv. Football, movies, whatever was on. I'm pretty sure we straight up watched 12 hours of TV. Lazy butts. Oh well, gotta have some of those days. Then Thanksgiving came and I woke up to like a million different smells infumigating my room. The day had come! We were cooking and had the football games on and people just kept comin' in our house. It was awesome. The time seemed to crawl by before it was time to eat and then we got to eat. Which took like 5 minutes. Great anticipation right? Riiiiight.      So, it was a pretty chill Thanksgiving. Last year we were sitting down to eat and we get the call that my great grandpa had died.      So, having the only drama being the men's frustration in not being able to fix the surround sound correctly was a...

the beginning

Well, Heller everyone...literally, every ONE. This is the first time I've ever even tried blogging. And it's all because of my friend Meredith and her awesome blogs.      I guess I'd consider blogging like a glorified twitter for one person. I like it. I don't know exactly what I'll be blogging about. Sometimes it may be just nonsense. Sometimes drama to get out. Praises for friends and sports. My relationship with God. School. Mission trips. And other adventures.      So, this is the beginning and I hope you enjoy whatever I post and if you don't....well then, don't read it. :) Thanks! Amay
